Job offer: IP/MPLS Network Engineer

• Long-term contract opportunity for an experienced IP/MPLS Network Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer for a long-term contract opportunity in Wellington. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and implementing network solutions, as well as supporting multi-vendor network environments.

Key areas of responsibility:

• Network Design and Implementation
• Lab testing and testing documentation 
• Network Monitoring, Optimization and Maintenance
• Security and Compliance
• Documentation and Reporting

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Strong foundation in IP/MPLS networking principles.
• Troubleshot using protocols such as SR/MPLS, OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP in live environments.
• Practical experience with MPLS, VRFs, IS-IS, BGP-LU, and IGP.
• Knowledge of network OSS tools (such as Incident Management, Change Management, CMDB, Order Management, NMS, EMS, RADIUS, DNS).
• Familiarity with Cisco, Juniper, or Nokia.
• Understanding of VPLS, VPRN, VPWS, and EVPN services.
• Experience in system administration for Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS, RedHat) and/or Microsoft Windows Server, including AD and MS Xchange
• Experience in TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN.
• Scripting skills in any of the following Ansible, Python, Bash, Shell and SQL
