Job Presentation

Work within a dynamic and friendly Information Services team to help champion good information management practices whilst supporting fellow staff to strengthen their information capability. Help lead information, communications, technology services and systems, providing infrastructure and connectivity. You will also be responsible for the development and delivery of their Electronic Document & Records Management Systems (EDRMS) training to the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical advice to ensure electronic information management across the organisation, ensuring the efficient capture, storage and disposal of records to ensure best practice, and compliant, information management activities across the organisation.

  • Perform training needs analysis, developing training collateral and facilitating training sessions.

  • Take responsibility for reporting on the effectiveness of training and maintaining training records in the learning management system.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required:

  • Demonstrated experience managing records and information within a government context.

  • Strong understanding of the Public Records Act, Official Information Act, and Privacy Act.

  • Ability to deliver effective training in various formats, including one-on-one, group, and virtual sessions.

  • Advanced skills in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience using and maintaining an EDRMS.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to fostering a positive team culture.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in information management/ or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience, and an ongoing commitment to professional development.
