Job offer: Intermediate/Senior Quantity Surveyor

This well-established quality main contractor have been responsible for some iconic projects for many decades. While they are of good size, they retain more family centred values, are nimble and can move quick to make decisions. They continue to grow with a full work order book for the next few years and only selectively taking on any additional projects. 

Reporting into a Commercial Manager, this is an Intermediate/Senior role that will be financially managing of projects from $5M - $20M with opportunity to progress toward experience with managing larger builds. This is an opportunity with exceptional career development and training with hands on mentoring.

The role will cover:

• Tender estimates and review and letting contracts 
• Variation management, progress claims, supplier payments
• Sub contractor negotiations and management 
• Cost management and reporting
• Attending site visits, and being a client facing QS representing clients

As an applicant, you have commercial construction QS experience of 5- 7 years from a main contractor across a range of projects, ideally under $10M. You have tertiary qualifications either a Diploma in Quantity Surveying or a Bachelors degree in Construction/Construction Economics
You have an ambitious streak, possess initiative, and are keen to learn and progress your career with demonstrable drive.

Your cost management skills and commercial acumen are developing well with an awareness of being able to achieve results in increasing profitability on projects. Your contractual understanding of NZ3910 is well developed. You are technically savvy with ideal systems experience gained from using  Procore, Jobpac, Costx, ProcurePro.
You work well within a team environment and thrive on the pressure that construction projects bring.

Remuneration package: $120K - $140K pending experience.
