Job offer: Work, Health, Safety and Environment Advisor

The WHSE Advisor is responsible to drive compliance and will lead the "safety first" culture on site, manage risk and educate.

Reporting to the National People & Safety Manager, this will suit a person who is a senior coordinator ready for the next step and can grow with the role or an experienced Advisor. Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the National People & Safety Manager to develop strategic plans and actions.
• Improvement plans targeting best practice
• Work collaboratively with the Site Team Managers, Leaders and workers to implement and maintain safety procedures
• Provide advice to Site Management
• Setting up consultive mechanisms to identify and manage hazards and risks.
• Ensure inductions and training are implemented 
• Conduct regular audits, inspections
• End to end management of incident reporting and investigations
• Lead toolbox talks 
• Coordinate injury management and return to work program
• Liaise with ACC on claims

Experience and Skills required:

• Relevant Diploma/Tertiary qualification
• Competent level of WHSE knowledge
• Minimum 3-5 years in an WHSE position
• Experience implementing a and managing an WHSE system
• Experience with ACC and return to work processes
• Strong planning. organisational and communication skills
• Strong risk management skills
