Wow! Haven't got a review..and by the sound of it that's a good thing! It means I haven't travelled Third Age! I saw an ad in local paper and the new Cuba tour interested me but hadn't heard of this company so did a bit of 'Google research'..so glad I did.
Thanks to all who take the time to write a review

I really hope that more people who have gone on these tours write more reviews to help others not waste their money going with this tour group. Brenda should retire and let someone else take over. One of the rudest, unorganised and unprofessional woman. Should not be able to run this business. A complete joke.

I agree, rude disorganised and what kind of tour manager throws an almost 70 year olds bag out the door at an airport and drives off due to being in a hurry after being stuck in traffic!!
Do not book with this company!!!

The recent tour my sister and l did with Brenda was most dissapointing. This was a tour of Ireland and Scotland.
The tour had not been properly resurched, this was vey obvious, from the number of places closed and even sites that could not be found!
We lost count of the number of times we drove aimlessly around in circles looking for one place or another. Hadrians Wall could not be found, amazing!
All in all a very bad experience,
Please Brenda do some resurch if you intend to repeat this tour, or you will have twelve more dissapointed people next year.

Reply to Lois review.
Lois and her sister Ruth previous to the Ireland Scotland Tour had done UK tour twice with Third Age Tours. All 12 clients on this Ireland/Scotland tour have previously done my UK Tour plus other tours with Third Age Tours, some to Turkey or Vietnam. All 12 people knew the Ire/Scot was an inauguration tour. The two (2) places closed was the Museum in Balatar Scotland, which was boarded up and padlocked - ten days prior to our visit it was burnt to the ground. Lois TWICE asked "Can we go in and see?", it was a burnt out wreck and boarded up for safety. The second place that was closed and fenced off was The Hotel in Rosslare. All our rooms including a full cooked breakfast was fully paid for, it was a huge shock to me to be fenced off, but it had gone into liquidation. We did have accommodation that night and did go to a really nice restaurant. These two closures were totally out of the hands of Third Age Tours. I would also like to say, I did not have 12 disappointed people on the tour in fact I have one person that has re-booked to return in 2016 as she enjoyed it so much. I have seven people that were on this tour that were outraged that Lois has spoken for them, a couple of them said "How dare she speak for me". The same seven people were totally disgusted at both the sisters behaviour on this tour.
On Saturday I received a Christmas card from people that were on the Ire/Scot tour - it said "A BIG THANKS AGAIN FOR THE GREAT TRIP".

Brenda, in response to your reply to my review.First of all l did not say l was speaking for anyone on the trip, apart from my sister. I will say that at least nine people told me they were very dissapointed with things, one saying it had put him off Tours for life! If these same people have had a change of heart since, well good luck! I certainly have not, l am being honest, not nasty.
Also at Balatar, l did not ask to go in to a burnt out wreck, l just was amazed you had not checked, the place had been burnt out for quite some time and the guide had left a month ago!Yet you still took us there. As for disgusting behavour, well you would be an expert on that, so l will say no more.

Communication with Third Age Tours especially prior to tour was hopeless as it was on tour (Catlins & Stewart Island). The content of the tour was good and accommodation adequate - was value for money. Brenda is not a nice person, thank goodness for a good group all of which were of the same opinion of the lack of communication. I would not travel again or recommend Third Age Tours.

In reply to Judie Sinclair
It was hard to get hold of Judie by phone before the tour, she doesn't have an answer phone. Regarding communication with our clients we respond immediately when we get the message, when there is no answer we continually keep trying until we make contact. Third Age Tours does not breach the Privacy Act - IT IS THE LAW. We do not give out any personal information of any one of our clients. Judie did not seem to understand this, however I thought we got on really well on the tour. We had quite a few laughs especially at The Manor House Restaurant! Judie is into photography, she often sat in the front seat beside me and I automatically stopped for her where it was particularly scenic for a photo opportunity. Communication during the tour was as before the tour - all very clear. Time to be back on the bus was always given. It doesn't take long for the tour leaders to see who is always going to be first on the bus and those that are always going to be last on the bus. I thought I got on so well with Judie on the tour, that when she said she had to come down to Christchurch for a few days, I said to her if you would like to give me a ring and we could meet up for a coffee, so I am really hurt and baffled by her comments.

The Tour content local Guide/Bus driver superb but Tour escort /son of Brenda let group down badly when we missed a connecting flight on way home from Croatia leaving 7 of us stranded at Frankfurt airport when he got inebriated could not fulfil his escort duties. we had to rebook our own flights home arriving 2 days later via Shanghai after he left us at Frankfurt and returned home alone. A very unhappy ending to an otherwise good tour. Could not recommend this Co if either of 2 sons escorting.

In reply to RW - Rosemary Waterson
I would like to add some facts to these comments. The flight was late/delayed leaving Zagreb arriving in Frankfurt late for the connecting flights. This was no fault of Third Age Tours and I hasten to add in the 16 years I have been operating this business - this is the first time this has ever happened , we have never missed any connecting flights before. The airline put all of my group up in a hotel overnight, the following morning all of the group were offered flights back to NZ via America. For some reason none of the group wanted to go via America, they all chose to book a different route home travelling via Shanghai. Tristan was the last to book his ticket!! He asked everyone in the group if they would mind if he got the flight that was initially offered, flying back to NZ via America. Nobody in the group objected to Tristan going on an earlier the flight that they chose not to take!! At this stage they were already booked on a different flight. Nobody was stranded in Frankfurt Airport. Sorry but I find this rather dramatic and incorrect!
RW's hand written reviews on this tour "A most enjoyable time - lots of fun and wine with the rest of the tour group. Fabulous place esp Bled, Porec. Great tour, guide and driver. Would recommend this tour".

We toured Vietnam/Cambodia in Oct. 2013. Tour leaders (Brendas sons Troy and Tristan )) should not have been given the responsibility of themselves let alone a group of tourists. So much for "small group" 24 plus the two slouched in the front seats every day. Not a good look for a supposed professional tour organisation. Accommodation was advertised as mostly 4 star. We were not impressed with a 2 star hotel. The local guides used were wonderful, very helpful , were interested in us as a group and interesting to listen to.
Overall the itineray was ok but there are other very good companies offering a more comprehensive tour with far better management.

This was our third tour of Vietnam/ Cambodia and Third Age Tours was not a good choice or good value.
