Job offer: Quantity Surveyor

This local main contractor are a forward-thinking progressive business that focus heavily on people, culture and the well-being of their staff. Ensuring a long term fit to business values is vital. Their projects portfolio has been in the multi-story high rise and mixed-use development sector with current projects up to $100M. 

A current project under construction requires an Intermediate QS with experience particularly in high rise apartment developments. 

The key focus of the role will be to: 

• Variations, progress claims and invoicing
• Contract administration
• Negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors
• Tender evaluations
• Site Health and Safety

Background required for this role will involve:

• 5+ years of NZ quantity surveying experience on $30M+ commercial
• Tertiary qualified with either a Diploma or degree in quantity surveying
• Attention to detail with a thorough approach
• Strong numeracy skills
• Supplier negotiation skills
• A flexible and co-operative attitude with a willingness to learn
• High level of communication skills
• Sound computer-based systems knowledge

Remuneration: $120K - $140K pending experience.
