Job offer: Project Director

This prominent main contractor with a huge depth of construction expertise and project delivery history and are now looking for a high performing Project Director to lead and manage their current project portfolio.   They have several projects under construction over $100M across healthcare, airport and industrial. They anticipate further growth with ECI projects in tow.

Reporting into an Operations Manager, and with Project Managers reporting to you they are looking for a Project Director you will take ownership for overall project delivery and performance

Typical Duties:

• Preparing programmes in consultations with PM's 
• Forecasting, Budgets, managing costs and providing financial reporting
• Driving the construction programme
• Managing project performance including operation and resource requirements, risk management and reporting of performance
• Adherence to H&S
• Providing technical and contractual support
• Team management and mentoring
• Ensuring all documentation meets contractual, operational and statutory requirements
• Quality management
• Sub contractor, consultant and supplier management

Your background will include:

• 15+ years previous Project Management delivering vertical projects in excess of $50M preferably in the NZ market
• Tertiary and/or trade qualifications
• Strong track record of delivering projects at a high quality and on time
• Strong understanding of construction techniques
• Excellent working knowledge of programming and reading plans
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to be proactive, graft through the challenges and handle a fast-paced working environment

Salary: $250k - $280k + Vehicle
