IT Engineer

Location: Auckland (Hybrid)

Role Overview:
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional helpdesk support, manage system and server administration, oversee IT security, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Helpdesk Support: Resolve technical issues, assist with new employee onboarding, maintain documentation, and ensure LAN/WAN performance.
• System & Server Administration: Manage user accounts, Office 365 applications, perform server maintenance, and keep systems up to date.
• Security Management: Handle IT assets, manage MFA and MDM solutions, and monitor security alerts.
• Process Improvement: Collaborate on enhancing IT processes and use PowerShell scripting for automation (a plus).

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a similar role.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft OS, cloud technologies, Linux, hypervisors, and storage solutions.
• Problem-Solving: Strong incident management skills.
• Self-Management: Ability to multitask and prioritize.
• Security Knowledge: Familiarity with information security principles and certifications.
• People Skills: Patience and a passion for helping others.
• Passion for Learning: Enthusiasm for staying updated with technology trends.
