Job offer: Senior QS/Commercial Manager - Density Residential

This is a progressive developer and density residential builder with a long-standing history in the market. They continue to be large players in the market, especially Auckland and have contracts with Kainga Ora and private developers but they also work with clients in Design and Build market. They have an uptick in the level of pipeline and are looking to onboard a Senior QS that has managed a team and led the commercial function.

Your role involves:

• Overseeing all estimating and pricing functions
• Contract administration
• Financial reporting, cost planning, cashflow forecasting and variations
• Provide support to PM’s in the management of projects costs and risks
• Supplier and sub contractor management/negotiating and procurement
• Relationship management from clients, design team to subs and suppliers
• Team management and mentoring
• Site visits during construction

• 8 + years of residential QS experience including knowledge of NZ Building Code and NZ Building Standards, including NZ3910/ETC contracts and 3915
• Tertiary qualified with a Diploma/Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying
• Top communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
• Strong financial nous, excellent pricing systems skills
• Deadline oriented and efficiency focussed
• Able to effectively lead and manage and coach a QS team or 3 – 5 QS’s

Salary $150K - $160K
