BuzzTech is the result of a concept born in the family-run beekeeping business, BeezThingz. BeezThingz aimed to promote holistic beekeeping methods through urban beekeeping. BuzzTech's mission is to help beekeepers maximize bee welfare and operational excellence through the use of technology. This decision was made during the final steps of the Seed stage investment process after the completion of the Sprout AgriTech Accelerator program in May 2016. BuzzTech is now dedicated to Bee Management Software, Hive Heartbeat Sensors, Beehive Tracking, and Data. BeezThingz, under a new manager, will focus on connecting beekeepers to landowners and building a beekeeping community.
