A thorough examination and two x-rays, including video images of the teeth and
mouth are taken to help communicate Phillip's findings. Photographs and study
models (complimentary charge) may also be taken for further analysis. The pros and cons

has been chosen, the dentist and his team will support the choices made to achieve
the desired outcomes.

Tooth whitening is a process that lightens stains in the enamel and dentine of
your teeth, to give a brighter tooth colour. We have 2 options for teeth
whitening:

1. Take home whitening system - using a whitening gel placed into a
customised tray which is placed over your teeth. This is worn during the day or
at night - you choose.

2. Zoom - 2 hour whitening system using a patented light in the dental practice.

Before having your teeth whitened, a routine check-up of all your teeth is
required so the dentist can check to ensure your teeth are suitable to be treated.
Different teeth may whiten at different rates depending on the location and intensity
of the stain and the hardness of the tooth. Some people experience tooth or gum
sensitivity during treatment which goes away after stopping the treatment.
Over time your teeth may lose some of their whiteness therefore you may need to
repeat the process occasionally.

Crowns are tooth shaped caps which fit over your teeth, when the
fillings and root fillings are large and are weak. Crowns can also be
used for cosmetic purposes to improve the appearance of teeth. They
are usually made of porcelain and the colour is matched to the colour of
your existing teeth.
