Opunake Hydro is the new local supplier of electricity in the Taranaki area. We generate electricity using our 88-year-old hydro scheme located in Opunake township. And while the scheme may be historic, our approach to supplying you today certainly isn’t. Opunake Hydro’s local electricity is competitively priced; ‘lite’ on carbon; and comes with all the benefits of the latest technology, including smart metering.
