Job offer: Senior Financial Analyst

My client is a recognized leader in primary sector investments, specializing in alternative assets that deliver strong returns for wholesale and institutional investors. They’re committed to building wealth through rural asset investments and supporting the growth of New Zealand’s export market. As they continue to expand, they’re seeking a Senior Analyst to join their agile team.

In this position, reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you’ll support the company’s strategic investment goals by:

• Sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities in food and fibre markets, backed by in-depth research
• Conducting rigorous financial analysis and crafting business cases for high-potential investments
• Creating clear, detailed offer documents and presentation materials for new investment prospects
• Monitoring managed assets to ensure they meet key performance and profitability targets
• Producing timely, high-quality reports on both the financial and operational performance of assets
• Developing and strengthening relationships with investors, partners, and other stakeholders

We’re looking for someone with:

• At least 5 years of experience in investment banking, finance, or the agribusiness sector
• A relevant tertiary qualification, ideally in finance, agribusiness, or accounting
• Expertise in financial modeling and data analysis
• A proven track record in New Zealand’s primary sector
• The ability to explain complex information in straightforward terms, with strong written and verbal skills
• A results-oriented mindset with a high standard for quality and detail
• Ability to balance competing priorities and meet tight deadlines with confidence
• Strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• A proactive, organized approach to work and a dedication to continuous improvement
