We are seeking a Senior Business Project Manager for a 6-month contract role in Wellington. In this position, you will play a critical part in driving the successful delivery of agile projects while managing product backlogs and coordinating cross-functional teams. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in Agile methodologies, backlog management, and Jira, looking for a rewarding contract opportunity. Please note this is not an IT project.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Extensive experience in Agile project management, with a strong focus on backlog management.
- Advanced proficiency with Jira (or similar Agile project management tools).
- Proven ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and best practices.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience delivering complex projects with multiple moving parts.
- Business Analysis (BA) skills, including experience in gathering and documenting requirements, are highly desirable.
You must be in New Zealand with the legal right to work and have previous New Zealand experience to be eligible for this role. Overseas candidates or candidates with no extensive New Zealand experience will not be considered.
