The role:
- Actively contributes to the work of Information Services Unit and supports the Manager Information Services.
- You will assist with creating an environment that helps staff make the best use of Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) to meet current and future needs.
- You will also assist in a strategic approach to implementation of ICT by working on projects identified in the technology data and digital project schedule.
- You will assist in the research and development of solutions and evaluation and endorsement of new technologies to facilitate the use of ICT for the department.
- You will contribute to ICT project planning and participate in or manage ICT projects where needed.
- Provide advice and guidance on digital information systems and government requirements (including protective security requirements) for the improvising and operating of ICT hardware and systems
- Works with business units to engage in sector and government required processes for systems risk assessments including certification and Accreditation
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the relationship manager between tech teams and vendors
- Contributing to technology policies, processes and projects that ensure successful implementation
- Contributing to the delivery of Information Management Systems, including EDRMS, M365, D365, intranet and website
- Provides advice and guidance to the Information Services Unit and Senior Management
- Liaising with Crown Agencies especially in the Education Sector, government ICT and IM groups, Suppliers, Consultants, Vendors
- Providing advice and guidance on education initiatives and be up to date with technology
