Our client is an award-winning South Island owned and operated architectural residential building firm who are looking for an experienced trade qualified builder to join their team based in the Mackenzie District.
They are well established and have a pipeline of work booked up for the next 24+ months.
Let's talk about the Mackenzie District:
Maybe you know the area well? If so, you can jump to the next section. But if not.......
Are you wanting to make the move from city/larger town life? The Mackenzie District is your opportunity to step in to the great wide open and discover NZ's highest mountains, longest glaciers, vivid turquoise lakes, golden grasslands and clearest starry skies.
Think hiking, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, fishing and hunting. This is a perfect location for outdoor pursuits. They aren't compulsory though and applications will certainly be accepted from qualified applicants with other personal interests!
Has this got you thinking? Finally, an opportunity to combine your profession and personal interests in one location.....read on......
The role:
Working as part of a tight knit and high performing team you will get the opportunity to work on high end architectural residential builds. The work is not "cookie cutter" and will give you the chance to grow your skillset.
They have a summer/winter hour work programme in place, don't work weekends, and are a social crew.
Who are you?:
You are already working at a qualified builder level but there is something missing in terms of what you are currently doing vs what you want to be doing - you want to work for a passionately and proud run building company who are continuously recognised for both their service and results.
Ideally you will have been exposed to high-end residential builds and while this is not essential you will need to show a genuine interest in stepping up into this area of work. You don't need to have LBP status, but if you do, great!
You work well unsupervised but also perform to a high level in a team situation - the apprentices will look up to you in terms of your experience and the way you go about doing your job
You have a friendly disposition, can get on with nearly anyone and are looking to work for a highly regarded building company.
What's in it for you?:
Competitive hourly rate
Social company culture - think breakfasts, social club events, annual sporting cup, end of year getaway
Full support from the management team
Interesting and not "run of the mill" work
And the opportunity to work and play in what is arguably one of the most majestic regions in New Zealand
