The Role:
A role with purpose and meaning.  We are seeking a passionate and experienced Occupational Therapist to join a leading provider of services and support for New Zealanders living with disabilities.
This position is to support staff members and people within the organisation’s services.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Prioritisation and management of a client portfolio
• Provision of high-quality OT assessment and interventions including sensory, environmental and equipment, based off clinical best practice
• Training and mentoring to service delivery teams in order to implement OT plans and interventions
• Liaise and collaborate with external agencies
• Facilitation of referrals to community OT and/or community physiotherapy

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required for the role:
You must be an experienced Occupational Therapist, registered with the New Zealand Occupational Therapy Board and hold a current Annual Practicing Certificate.  You must also be a Member of the OTBNZ and have clean driver’s licence.

You must have experience in:

• Supporting people and their whanau with holistic wrap-around services including their intellectual disability, autism spectrum disorder and/or foetal alcohol spectrum disorder at a senior level.
• Understanding positive behaviour support and trauma-informed care
• Have a genuine desire to work with and support people with an intellectual disability and is committed to the provision of individualised services and support.
