You’ll have heard a lot about Vitamin D lately. It’s the sunshine vitamin – essential for health and happiness. Traditionally, we obtained our Vitamin D by working outside all day and for some people that’s still true. However an estimated 32% of New Zealanders have Vitamin D blood levels below those recommended by the Ministry of Health*. If you work at a desk, have darker skin, avoid the sun or are in the older age brackets, this is probably you.
