East Tamaki Healthcare (ETHC) is owned by Nirvana Health Group, New Zealand’s largest independent primary healthcare group. Nirvana runs 43 clinics around the country, with 24 of them belonging to the ETHC brand.

The ETHC clinic network has been providing medical care in South Auckland for over 40 years. It began as a one doctor, one receptionist practice in 1968 in Otara, with ETHC founders Dr Kantilal Patel and Ranjna Patel taking over in 1977.

Our long-standing links with patients allows for a true understanding of the challenges our communities face and enables health service delivery and staff training to be tailored appropriately.

This patient-centric philosophy along with a can-do attitude has enabled ETHC to respond to the vision and needs of the Ministry of Health as well as the Counties Manukau District Health Board.
