Terrible experience. The mechanic, Clive, drained our radiator to trick us into thinking we needed a new one which of course, he could do for us. Luckily the radiator wasn't damaged beyond repair with this deceptive stunt. After filling it back with water and taking it to another garage in Hokitika when we realised there was no leaking, they confirmed the radiator was, luckily, in tact. This isn't the only problem we have had. Previously we organised some work to be done, tyres changing from a donor car onto ours. We agreed on a price, that we weren't really happy with as it was seriously overpriced. A voicemail was left on my phone saying the work was done but it was a more expensive job. Apparently he hadn't factored in changing over the spare tyre which would cost more money. When we arrived we asked to pay the agreed amount to which Clive completely blew up and stormed over to our car with tools to undo the 'extra job' he had done, leaving us with no usable spare tyre. (The extra job that he undid in 30 seconds that was to cost us $30 extra). Do not go to this guy. He is seriously untrustworthy and dangerous! We will be reporting him.
